Weddings as a Second Shooter
I have been extremely lucky to meet some extraordinary people whilst going through my photography journey. Whilst trying to get my foot through the door, I have met and learned from some of the best in the industry. There is one person in particular that I will be eternally grateful for and that is Ryan Ward from @ryanwardfilmandphoto. Ryan shot my wedding and the absolute joy myself and my husband had at the memories he captured on one of our most important days just lit up so much inspiration in myself. I then wanted to be able to capture life’s greatest moments for others. After seeing Ryan again, I expressed my interest in moving into weddings and told him a bit about my photography background before wanting to delve into wedding photography and he was happy to lend a helping hand with advice, guidance and opportunities. Ryan invited me to come along to a few different weddings with him and his team in order to learn first-hand how to shoot weddings and what it takes to be successful. This experience was so incredible and invaluable, I will never be able to thank him or his lovely bride and grooms enough for letting me join in the celebrations. Even with all his generosity he still went that extra mile in order to help me progress by offering to let me edit in my own style some of the images I was able to capture from these amazing days and use a few for my own portfolio and I am over the moon to be able to share them with you below.
